"Afterthoughts" - Book Reading by Author Michael Lyons for National Heritage Week 2023

Join local author Michael Lyons in Books@One Louisburgh on Thursday August 17th at 7pm, where he will read extracts from his book “Afterthoughts”.

Michael Lyons grew up in a village known locally as the ‘Colony’, right beside the Clapper Bridge in Killeen. His book is a wonderful collection of memories, told in his unique descriptive style with humour and an abundance of beautiful imagery bringing the reader back in time to life in a loving home in rural west Mayo.

Now living in Galway, Michael was a regular contributor to ‘An Coinneal’ over the years and we are really excited that he is coming back to Louisburgh for what promises to be a very entertaining evening.

The event is free and suitable for all but children must be accompanied by an adult.
