Home Baking & Recipes Shared

Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy a wonderful evening remembering home baking & traditions from when we were young.

A lovely story telling of different traditions from not just in Ireland, both west coast & east coast but also from Portugal.

Ana (from Tia) gave a talk on traditions from Portugal & her own experiences of learning the baking of white breads & brown breads, and of learning how to make traditional Irish soda bread once living in Louisburgh.

Brige (Louisburgh & Killeen Heritage) talked about East coast of Ireland traditions & memories of her childhood and of baking at home for the family.

Special word of gratitude to all who brought bread & cakes to sample & also to Ana at Tia cafe for providing the refreshments.
