For the first time ever the Community Archive and Heritage Conference will take place on the Campus of National University of Ireland, Galway.
A collaboration between, CAHG, Community Archive & Heritage Group, (covering Ireland and United Kingdom) iCAN, Irish Community Archive Network, National Museum of Ireland, Galway County Council and Hardiman Library NUI Galway.
2022 conference will explore the collaboration and connections between communities using the concept of ‘Meitheal’, which is an Irish word for the traditional ‘neighbour helping neighbour’ way of living. Just like in the past when communities gathered together to help each other with farming or harvesting, our heritage network supports each other to grow in sharing of resources and archives.
