Louisburgh & Killeen P.T.A.A. Variety Fundraising Concert 1999

On 26th August 1999 a spectacular night of music, song, dance and recitations took place in Louisburgh Town Hall. Organised by the Louisburgh & Killeen Pioneer Total Abstinence Association as a fundraising event for Dr Carney Cancer Research at the Mater Hospital Dublin.

Young and old came out to support the concert which had acts of all ages perform and travel from all around the county. A raffle took place on the night too and a tuck shop provided the necessary refreshments to keep everyone sustained as the music and fun continued late into the night.

A very generous €4,000 was raised and presented to Dr Carney in December of that year.
