In 2021 County Mayo Heritage Officer, Deirdre Cunningham, was successful in using funding from Community Monuments Fund to prepare a Conservation Management Plan for Kilgeever Church and Graveyard. This plan included a report on works to conserve the church structure.

In a very poor state, the final existing gable tethers precariously and we are delighted to see that conservation works have now commenced. Thanks to funds of €48,672 secured under the Community Monuments Fund in 2022, the scaffolding has been erected and we fully support any repairs that will be made to this protected heritage structure.
