This is a postcard from Breta Kenny, Bridge Street, Louisburgh to Nancy Cooke in Dublin in 1945.

Breta is a granddaughter of Mary and Pat O’Malley of Bridge Street and Nancy Cooke, from Cill-Chiaráin, Connemara is a daughter of Ellen O’Malley (and Martin Cooke), a sister of Mary above.

The post card is of McDermott’s Hotel in Louisburgh owned by Kathleen and James McDermott.

Kathleen is another sister of Mary and Ellen above and their parents were Michael O’Malley and Anne Gill of Bridge Street. Note the postmark is in the Gaelic Cluain Chearbhain/Louisburg.
