My link to Carrowniskey. Hello Brenda. My grandmother was Kate O’Malley and she married Tom Kerrigan. They were from Carrowniskey. They had 8 sons and Peter was my father. He was born in 1932. We may be related. I remember my dad mentioning Austin O’Malley who appears in one of your photos. I currently live in Australia but spent time in Co Mayo as a child. I loved living with my grandmother and never forgot the beautiful scenery. My uncle Ned is still living on the family site. I am glad to have found this site and will refer to it regularly. I have some pictures of my dad and his brothers when they were young which I will post at a later date. My father Peter passed away in August 2008 RIP. Best regards.
Mary (Kerrigan) O’Donoghue
Thanks for your input Mary. We’d appreciate any photographs you might submit and look forward to seeing them. Ed.
