This is where my great-grandfather, John Gibbons, taught. The family, including my grandfather Edward, lived in the residence beside the school [to the right if facing the school]. On holidays, during my childhood, I remember playing in the ruins of the residence. I also remember hearing the pupils playing tin whistles as they did a bit of marching on the road. No surfer traffic back then!
Has anyone written a history of the school? Would like one if there is such a thing. The Census 1911 has a return for the residence. I believe the school has been converted into a holiday home now.
