Who we are
Louisburgh & Killeen Heritage are a small group of volunteers who came together in 2011 to record and preserve the history and heritage of the area. In partnership with the National Museum of Ireland we maintain this open access website and encourage contributions from all. Indeed, most of the information has been contributed by ordinary folk who have an interest, be it past or present, in the community and its people.
How it all works
On the left side you will find categories which will bring you to information on suggested themes. These will be expanded in due course and as required.
On your right you will find details on specific interest items. Again, these will be added to and expanded over the coming months and years.
