Traditional Tractors

Long before the Tractor came to the farm we had many a long day working the land with a horse or donkey. A good horse was worth its weight in gold. A gentle donkey was equally as useful.

Many areas of the land or bog were rough and wet and perhaps the horse or donkey were even more useful in places that the modern machine couldn’t access.

Thank you to Ray Walsh for sharing these wonderful photographs that show just how important the right animal was for the job.
