  • Edward,

This article was given to us by a family member of of P.J. Kelly and was their copy of an eye witness statement from the Bureau of Military records. In order to reproduce this statement on our website we applied for permission, on their behalf, from the Bureau.

There are many more witness statements and photographs which can be sourced online on the Military records website but permission has to be sought from them to reproduce any written or photographic information.

We currently do not have any information on whether Patrick O’Donnell of Cahir was a member of the IRA in Louisburgh, however, this can possibly be sourced if you contact the Bureau of Military records.

    Hope this helps.

  • Excellent. Is there additional information about the IRA Louisburgh history? Was Patrick O’Donnell of Cahir, Louisburgh a member of the IRA? He would be my Great Uncle. Please advise, Thank you

Also, do you have any photos of the IRA in Louisburgh?
